ISO 9001 Certification

Can we help you prepare for ISO 9001 certification?

ISO 9001 Quality Management System

The ISO9001:2000 was formally introduced to the World in December of 2000.  This update of ISO 9001 was enhanced to be strategic-based and is built on the Performance Excellence concept of continual improvement and customer satisfaction.  It utilizes the “Plan-Do-Check-Act” improvement methodology and can be used as an excellent foundation for achieving Six Sigma level process excellence.  The ISO 9001:2000 Standards include the following 8 sections:

  1. Scope
  2. Normative Reference
  3. Terms and Definitions
  4. Quality Management System
  5. Management Responsibility
  6. Resource Management
  7. Product Realization
  8. Measurement, Analysis and Improvement

Requirements

This 2000 version of ISO 9001 requires greater emphasis on customer focus and enhancement of customer satisfaction as well as assessment of the effectiveness of the quality management system.  It also requires that the sequence and interaction of the processes needed for the quality management system be determined.  This means that ISO 9001:2000 encourages a very strong process approach.
