ISO 9001 Certification Can we help you prepare for ISO 9001:2008 certification? ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System A new edition of ISO 9001 Quality Management System was released on November 15, 2008. The new ISO 9001:2008 does not introduce additional requirements compared to the last addition in 2000 and does not change the intent of the ISO 9001:2000. The new ISO 9001:2008 revision maintains its Performance Excellence concept of continual improvement and customer satisfaction. It utilizes the “Plan-Do-Check-Act” improvement methodology and can be used as an excellent foundation for achieving Six Sigma level process excellence. The ISO 9001:2008 Standards include the following 8 sections:
Requirements As with the 2000 revision, the ISO 9001:2008 requires greater emphasis on customer focus and enhancement of customer satisfaction as well as assessment of the effectiveness of the quality management system. It also requires that the sequence and interaction of the processes needed for the quality management system be determined. This means that ISO 9001:2000 encourages a very strong process approach. Certification Maintenance If you already have your certification but are resource limited, we can offer you a certification maintenance program. We will periodically visit your facility to conduct the required internal audits, facilitate the management reviews, and follow-up on any corrective actions to make sure that you successfully pass your surveillance and recertification audits.
